When
you analyze your warehouse space or other storage areas, you
may realize that a lot of empty space is taken up by aisles.
Aisles do require a lot of space, but they are not necessarily
a “must have.” A system called Mobile Storage
provides a way for you to condense your shelving units so
that you need no aisles at all!
In
a mobile storage system, shelves are mounted onto wheels and
tracks. To “open” a shelf, you would roll other
shelves down the tracks until an opening appeared for the
shelf you need. As a result, you basically only need enough
space for one aisle in the mobile storage system. The flexibility
of mobile storage allows you to place the aisle wherever you
need it to be.
